Hey, look at that! I’ve had this thing for 2 weeks already!

That’s kind of cool! And a post every day! I don’t even hardly manage that on my lj anymore! My poor, neglected lj…

And all my online gaming sites are gonna hate me this weekend, too. Gaia, Neopets, Travian…yes, yes, I am a dork. But at least I have fun, right? ;) Right.

I spend way too much time online. And not doing the things I should be—like RTC. That’s my steno practice thing.

Hmm, I guess I’ll expand a bit on the old way of my school. Right now, the majority of our time is spent doing RTC. Hours a day on the computer with a program that kind of gets used as a babysitter. It’s not being used very well, in my opinion. We only get an hour or two of live dictation any given day. That’s the stuff that I believe got me to pass my test. More variety, more common flow to the words, and a lot more focus on the things we need to work on. It’s great.

The new system should technically give us a ton of live dictation. Granted, we’ll be in with another speed group, but it looks like that might just give us a chance to work on our real time—that’s the no-edit stuff. Normal tests and transcripts get edit time to make it English and stuff. Real time is, whatever comes up, that’s what you turn in. Oh, that word came up untranslated? Too bad, so sad, turn it in now.

And now? It’s bed time. I have to be up in bloody a few hours. Yuck.
